On the afternoon of September 21, 2022, The School of International Education successfully held the 2022 FLTRP · Guocai Cup English Speech Contest (Higher Vocational Group) Jiangsu Division JMI Trials.
The topic of this trial is The Power of Thinking Big. The topic is closely related to the hot spots of current events. According to the requirements of the provincial competition, each contestant will draw lots to decide the order of appearance, and give a three-minute speech without notes. After the speech, the judges will ask questions. The competition content examined the comprehensive quality and accomplishment of students from multiple dimensions, such as thinking ability, practical ability, innovation ability and contingency ability.
After fierce competition among the contestants and careful selection by the judges, three students finally stood out. They are Wang Wenjing, Zhu Junjie and Yang Xinyue. These three students will receive training and participate in the FLTRP · Guocai Cup English Speech Contest (Higher Vocational Group) Jiangsu Competition on behalf of JMI.
The successful holding of this competition has improved the students' English application ability and enriched the campus cultural life.
