From June 7 to 9, the 2024 Jiangsu Provincial University Student Dart Championships were held at Nanjing Medical University, with dart teams from 21 undergraduate universities and 20 vocational colleges across the province participating in this event. Consisting of nine athletes, led by Mr. Chen Jun, Director of the Physical Education Department, and coached by Ms. Fan Daozhi, our team participated in the competition and achieved excellent results.
During the competition, our participants encouraged and supported each other, displaying a remarkable fighting spirit and showcasing the outstanding mental status of Jiangsu Maritime Institute’s dart athletes. After intense competition, our dart team secured the second place in the 4-person team 701 category with Wang Kun, Zhou Xin, Zhang Yiheng, and Rui Qiping. Wang Yuchen took the second place in the women’s individual 501, Zhou Xin and Zhang Yiheng took the second place in the men’s doubles 501, Pu Chenqi placed third in the men’s individual Cricket, Han Dandan ranked sixth in the women’s individual Cricket, and Wang Kun came in seventh in the men’s individual 501. Our team also achieved the third place in the overall team rankings. Additionally, Zhu Qiheng and Zhang Xifeng were honored as outstanding athletes, while Ms. Fan Daozhi was recognized as an excellent coach.
The achievement of this competition is inseparable from the meticulous guidance of the coaching team, the rigorous training of the athletes, and their fearlessness, resilience, and stable performance on the court. It not only demonstrates the excellent competitive level of our dart athletes but also promotes exchanges between our school and other institutions in sporting events, further enhancing the influence of our physical education within the province. We are confident that in future competitions, our dart team will continue to excel, bringing more honors to our school and contributing to the development of high-level institutions.
